Welcome to my photography website! Feel free to look around at your leisure!
I find photography fun. I think its a very unique way of self-expression, mainly in the freedom in what you want to shoot and the countless ways to edit and transform images to mean something to just you or to tons of people. I really admire photographers like Annie Leibovitz, who took really gorgeous shots of celebrities in their own environments and good portraits as well as Richard Avedon who did portraits and fashion photography. One other photographer I admire the works of is an urban landscape photographer, Yoshito Hasaka, who photographs the cities and streets of Japan and edits them to look more surrealistic. I love portrait photos and candid shots, so the first two photographers are very inspiring to me. I tend to lean towards taking photos of people when they aren't fully aware because I like candid shots, when people don't think about looking "good" and catching them in moments that they aren't worrying about being seen one way or another. I like to think capturing that is a strength of mine in photography. I love landscape photography a lot because when a certain place can be captured a certain way, there at lease a couple of people who will feel something and resonate with a view or a city. Taking photos that make at least myself feel nostalgic in some way is a strength. I've learned a lot around the technical side of handling a camera, as well as the most appealing ways to capture and edit different photos. I am generally introverted, I love to draw and partake in most other forms of art. I like to learn new skills, cooking for instance, then computers which I took to pretty quick...I think my curiosity plays a big role towards me liking photography so much; there's so much to learn. :)
